Sakura is iconic tea or coffee set in brick red brilliant vitreous china ceramic designed by Makio Hasuike in 1967 for Ceramica Franco Pozzi.

Sakura won 2nd award at the MACEF MILANO award in 67.

The project is an original reinterpretation of the classic tea or coffee service. Giving up the traditional handle, the project resolves the handle with a diaphragm that divides the space into two symmetrical parts: the liquid fills and heats only the upper part while the lower one, in which two grooves are modeled, remains cold and allows a grip comfortable, without burning!

This rare set is complete and consists of 6 cups with 6 saucers, 1 milk jug, 1 teapot with lid, 1 sugar bowl with lid. The attribution mark “Franco Pozzi Ceramiche Gallarate – Italy” is clearly readable on the bottom.
