This iconic space age radio lamp was designed by Adriano Rampoldi for Europhon in Italy during the 1970s and perfectly embodies the playful and experimental spirit of Italian Space Age design.
Characterized by its rounded cylindrical form and bold orange and beige color contrast, the lamp is made of ABS and PMMA, materials that defined the plastic utopian aesthetics of the era. The soft upper diffuser emits a warm two tone ambient light, creating a cozy atmosphere ideal for a desk, bedside table, or modernist interior.
What makes this piece truly distinctive is the integrated AM radio, merging lighting and sound into a single compact object. This functional combination reflects the technological optimism of the 1970s and the forward thinking approach of Europhon production. The lamp remains in excellent aesthetic condition, with only minor traces of wear on the lampshade consistent with age. Both the AM radio and the lighting system are fully working. EU standard plug. Usable worldwide with a simple adapter.
