The Sat 50 by Luci Milano is a distinctive 80s design lamp conceived by Gigante, Boccato and Zambusi. Generous in scale, the design combines a large white metal body with a vivid red circular element and a clear glass diffuser, creating a bold composition based on concentric geometry and contrasting materials.
Its projecting central diffuser and orbital arrangement give the lamp an unmistakably technological character, recalling the visual language of satellites that inspired its name. The strong contrast between white and red further emphasizes its graphic presence and places the Sat 50 firmly within the expressive vocabulary of 1980s Italian design.
Designed for installation on either a wall or ceiling, its 50 cm format gives the lamp a particularly architectural presence, allowing it to work as both a source of light and a striking decorative element.
This example is especially remarkable for its state of preservation: it has never been used and retains its original boxes, an increasingly uncommon condition for a Luci Milano lamp of this period.
