This graphic space age tray was produced in Europe during the 1970s and reflects the period’s strong connection between functional design and modernist visual research. Conceived as a serving tray, it combines everyday usability with a clearly defined graphic identity.
The rectangular structure features a glass top protecting a geometric composition arranged beneath the surface. The design is articulated through diagonal planes in cream, black and red, creating contrast, rhythm and directional movement typical of 1970s European interiors. The metal perimeter frame provides structural balance, while the wooden handles introduce warmth and tactile presence.
The reverse retains the original pressed fiberboard backing, consistent with production methods of the time. Measuring 40.5 x 25 x 3 cm, the tray is suitable both as a functional serving object and as a decorative accent.
