The artemide eclisse lamp is one of the most celebrated examples of Italian design, created by Vico Magistretti in 1965 and awarded the Compasso d’Oro shortly after. Its concept is disarmingly simple yet brilliant: a rotating inner shell allows you to control the light, moving from a full glow to a soft, eclipsed ambiance.
Produced by Artemide in Milan, this piece perfectly reflects the experimental spirit of the late 1960s and 1970s, when design explored new materials and more playful, human-centered forms. The spherical body, the bold orange finish and the tactile interaction make it both functional and deeply expressive.
This original 1970s Artemide Eclisse lamp shows the authentic character of early production, with minor signs of time. It can be used as a table lamp or mounted on the wall, adapting easily to different interiors.
A true icon that sits naturally within a curated selection of Space Age lighting, yet remains timeless beyond any category.
