Amazing space age coat rack manufactured in the 70s made in Italy by Visiva SRL, Milano.
This design piece, differently from the majority of coat hangers, can be set vertically. The rack holds four large foldable hooks that can be adjusted separately. The timeless black color and the unusual, sculptural 70s shapes add distinctiveness to this truly unique object.
The Visiva company was an obscure yet utterly original furniture maker from the golden age of Italian design. It manufactured quirky and distinctive home accents and accessories. This wall unit is a great example of the LUtopie du Tout Plastique era – when plastic was conceived as the new universal and liberating material.
