These 1970s orange nesting tables by Prisunic embody the playful practicality that made plastic furniture such a defining feature of the decade. Made in Holland, the set combines a vivid glossy orange finish with a compact geometric construction designed around flexibility and efficient use of space.
Each table consists of a shallow circular top supported by three broad rectangular legs. Small circular details at the upper ends of the legs are not merely decorative: pressing them releases the legs, allowing the tables to be easily disassembled and rearranged. When stacked together, the overlapping legs create a dense rhythmic structure that transforms three simple side tables into an unexpectedly sculptural object.
Used separately, their compact proportions make them ideal beside a sofa or armchair, as occasional tables, plant stands or bedside tables. Together, they capture the experimental approach to molded plastic and modular living associated with 1970s European design.
The complete set remains in excellent vintage condition, retaining its vibrant orange finish with light scratches and superficial signs of age and use.
