This Ecolight wall lamp, manufactured in Italy around the late 1960s or 1970s, combines the playful geometry of eyeball lighting with a compact and highly functional design. Its adjustable spherical metal shade, finished in white, contrasts with a cream-colored plastic and metal base, creating a distinctive example of Italian vintage lighting.
The spherical shade can be adjusted to direct illumination where needed, making the lamp particularly suitable for reading and focused lighting. Its rounded silhouette and simple geometric construction recall the experimental spirit of Italian lighting design during the Space Age era, while the restrained cream and white palette gives it a more understated character.
One of the most appealing features of this design is its versatility as a bedside lamp. It can be mounted on the wall beside a bed or placed directly on a bedside table, offering two practical lighting solutions within the same compact object. The original switch integrated into the base provides convenient control, while the adjustable shade allows the light to be directed towards a book, a reading area or the surrounding space.
