DESIGN CONTEXT

The orange space age clock by Milvox captures the fascination with plastic, colour and futuristic form that transformed everyday objects during the 1970s. Its glossy orange case projects gently from the wall. The rounded oval profile gives a simple timepiece an unexpectedly sculptural presence.

The dial provides a striking graphic contrast. Large white numerals emerge against a deep black ground, surrounded by a dotted minute track. Their soft, almost playful typography complements the rounded case. A slim metallic bezel provides a crisp transition between the dial and the orange shell.
