The Magistretti Mania lamp in its Grande version represents one of the earliest and most defining explorations of light by Vico Magistretti. Designed in 1963 and presented at the XIII Triennale di Milano in 1964, it belongs to the experimental beginnings of Artemide, within the Studio Artemide collection.
In this larger scale, the Magistretti Mania lamp becomes more than a lighting element. Its pure circular form turns into an architectural gesture, diffusing light in a soft halo that enhances the wall surface rather than overwhelming it.
The design reflects a key moment in Italian modernism, where clarity, reduction and function converge into a new visual language. Magistretti removes everything unnecessary, leaving only form, proportion and light.
This piece works equally well as a functional source and as a sculptural presence, ideal in interiors where balance and simplicity define the space.
