DESIGN CONTEXT

This Space Age Modular Table by Tatay is a striking example of 1970s Spanish plastic design.

Constructed in injection molded ABS, the piece features a sculptural tulip pedestal supporting a cylindrical modular body with two removable smoked trays. The central unit is stabilized by integrated grey side brackets — a structural detail that highlights the engineering logic of the design. The sculptural tulip base and removable trays reinforce the architectural identity of this Space Age Modular Table.

Fully dismountable and conceived as a system of interlocking elements, this table embodies the functional radicalism of the Space Age era.

More than a side table, it is a collectible modular object — graphic, architectural, and unmistakably seventies.

A rare and characterful Space Age Modular Table for serious collectors of radical plastic design.
