Model 4875 chair is the first chair in the world made of injection – molded polypropylene. Carlo Bartoli designed it in 1970, Kartell started production in 1974 and the chair was a huge success worldwide for the innovative design and the quality of materials. Moreover its versatility allowed both indoors and outdoors use.

In model 4875, chair and back are a single body, only the legs can be unscrewed.

The 4875 chair received a nomination for the golden compass in 1979, it belongs to the permanent exhibition of the national museum of arts – Center Pompidou – Paris and of course of the Kartell museum.
