Rare white moulded plastic SILVI model vanity on casters, swivel and retractable mirror opening over compartments, with padded seat on casters with storage compartment. Marked under the seat: Fanini Fain Spa / Ascoli Piceno.
This lovely modern vintage vanity has a nice and distinctive design with round and soft shapes. The original chocolate brown color is perfectly combined with mustard yellow upholstery of the seat.
The Fain company operated in central Italy in the 60s and 70s. It produced very distinctive plastic furniture and home decor with the collaboration of great designers like Livia Castelli, reported also in reference books like ‘L’utopie du tout plastique’.
The overall visual impact is simply irresistible. This is a very rare and piece of italian vintage furniture – not as famous as Kartell design items but equally beautiful and admittedly even more distinctive. A great modern vintage home decor that will give a zest of 70s creativity to your favourite room – or professional studio!
